Grandma has set about to clean up the mess. It not really his fault, he meant well and all that. But really, she has been busy knitting all those little masks for people to wear and cooking all those spare meals for the poor to eat.
Now they have to go rummaging again in the old barn and abandoned wharehouses.
She will just get her knitting club together and perhaps her sisters bridge club as well.
Where o where are they going to store one million refugees?
It is so hard on them to not know where else to go and heading out on foot like they are and in the middle of winter.
Everyone knows those European communities just don't have enough to eat as it is, all you see is anorexic actresses and sports athletes.
They will just have to come here and stay. Yes, we will put them up ourselves.
All one million of them.
Russian speaking you say, is there anyone left over from the old days who still speaks Russian?
No, they speak Ukrainian, well, we will just teach them English then like we did those Germans the GI's brough home to us.
Maybe we can send a few thousand mexican deportees home early and make room that way.
And those Canadian truckdrivers can just stay their side of the border, that will make a little bit more room.
It's just like making a quilt I am told. Poor old Grandpa, he had no idea when he offered help that we would of course also be expected to put up with strangers arriving at our doors.
Now whom else do we need to get rid of, besides those billion or so German refugees who never did go back home after their wall was finally torn down.
Ungrateful of them to make so much trouble for us and then not even take care of their own needs.
Most of them are now receiving social security benefits for old age.
What about those nice handsome Africans, how many of them need to go home to their own country? After all most of them are not true descendants but immigrants.
Better not say anything about them at all, it still a little bit wishful despite the good promising start some have made.
And those damn Native Americans, are still hanging around. They have not had it explained to the enough times yet.
This is America and it is meant for Americans and our guests of course.
Well, better get the girls working on some of those warehouse's and dusting out the sanitizers, good thing we have an abundance of those.
And socks, they must have socks for their poor little feet. We have lots of work to do to get ready for our guests.
I am so happy, and grandpa is going to be real happy next Christmas with all the family gathered around him one more time.
Especially, the younger ones having to most of the work, as I am getting a little bit old and weary.
