Free birthday treats...

Its your birthday and you want to celebrate. Almost everyone else wants to help.
There are all kinds of specials and whatnots to get people to go out and celebrate.
Denny's is well known for their free breakfast. In the past myself or my sister would be taken in repeatedly throughout the day by so called friends to enjoy the special treat and then eat the breakfast themselves.
They now want you to register your birthday and show ID to get the freebie. The same with Starbucks, once an honorable arrangement where one just put down the date on their account and got their freebie, now it is locked in and a show of ID is required. Some of us miss our treat because they don't now how to get the email to register the item instead of the account.
The details of the various places are probably known to many but I thought I would try myself this year to see what was available.
I found baskin Robbins one of the better deals. They offer a free scoop with the app upload and a free scoop with the birthday. Two scoops in one week!
Dunkins Doughnuts also offers a free coffee for the birthday, no strings attached.
The Bagels, Einstein's and others offer a free smear and bagel but with purchase.
Mimi's provides coupons for free muffins for joining and a free scoop of ice cream on a muffin for the birthday treat. It is a disappoint though as it is a nice place. There are a variety of coupons which come for joining such as a free entrée with purchase, so if you have a friend it is a good deal.
Many of the other places offer a sample such as the Cheesecake factory which gives you a miniature dessert, one I missed as it has to be on your birthday and I did not hear about it until the next day.
There are other places I missed which do offer an array of things but usually want a dine in experience in order to get some money out of the deal.
all this is why they offer the freebie!

So try it you wish but beware of the need to actually provide a reasonable amount of client association such as Starbucks where most people go often.
Or try a new place with a better deal where one might finally get some new friends out of the deal.
