A tall tale of two girls

Sadly, there will be errors.
In the retelling of these events
But don't make light of them either.

Once there was a proud family of Wheelers
Wheelers and dealers
Nothing could go wrong with these people.

But they had a flaw.
They had amongst them.
One who was not of this world.

She lived in a fantasy.
Of never-ending stories
Of yesteryear

Only to realize
What she wanted
Was a life of wealth?

Every once in a while
Along comes a child.
Who is so beautiful?

There is no one who could.
Do her any harm.
Marie is what they called her.

She was of the age.
To be formerly introduced
She was even presented.

To Queen Victoria
Of old England
Then her aunt came to town

Horrified of what she had heard.
They had done to the young thing.
Taking her to all those places

In Europe and even giving
Her a proper introduction
Into society

The Twentieth century
Was just there to look at
And she was not going to hear.

Nothing about old fashioned
Ways of behavior
To whisk the girl

Off to Saint Petersburg
The most advanced of the modern cities
They went to all the galleries.

And other cultural events
Then the climax was the lecture
Instead of a boring lecture

About monkeys
Wanting to walk around as men.
 Pastor Charles Taze Russell

Spoke that day about men.
Getting their rewards in heaven
Where there would be twenty-four thrones

And everyone would wear a crown.
And a sword would be given.
To do no harm but bring justice.

She might have dozed off a bit.
But she got religion that day.
Not that her parents were not Christians.

This one was different.
Purer and going to change the world.
They were going to ride.

Into the next century
Bearing the truth about
The Christ and his rulership

Instead of all this silly nonsense
About monarchies
And the end of the world

About to happen if the Kaiser
Got his way about things.
Anyways it was charming.

Her aunt saving her from
Unknown horrors
She had already fallen for a lovely lad.

Of a military family
And he was going to America.
The land of fulfillment

She was going to meet him.
On the West coast
As soon as she turned 18.

And was allowed to travel.
Across the Atlantic
And she did do as she pleased.

To the astonishment of her family
They were not displeased.
There were only so many places.

But really to set off for the parts unknown
She had with her the land grants.
Inheritances of her uncles

He had railroad knowledge.
And a few friends in the wilds
Of the frontier west

They had a grand old time.
Meeting all sorts of people
Exploring all those places

No one had heard of before.
They even got to China.
And Japan

Before settling down to a life
With children and fruit trees
Her garden club kept her busy

While he had gone and joined
The Latter day saints.
Believing this was an answer.

For them but their children
Were quickly swindled.
And other things as often

Happens to those who don't belong.
But join up afterwards.
Thier favorite place

Was along the coast.
Where only a boat could get to it
Til he helped build the routes

Of the rails as an architect
His life ended sooner.
Then thought and she was left.

With less than imagined
As her sons went off to fight
In those battles they had thought

Would not come to a modern world.
While she was taken care of by her own daughters
Beauties in their own rights

But stubborn as she was as well.
One day she found herself.
Telling the stories of her youth

You never told me that Mother!
Then along came the grandchildren.
Who wanted to know where they had come from?

Just as life was getting easier.
Her sorrow came to her on a bright day.
They had found her!

Those from the other side
Came to visit places.
As San Francisco

Do you remember us?
Can we come for a visit?
Of course, the old houses

Were smaller than theirs
Not always available
But accommodate they did.

Especially when they came.
With fancy husbands
The problem is that rogues.

Had move in on their quiet world.
Wanting to beach and surf.
Instead of pick fruit

Or work at anything at all
They tore up the trees.
And put-up houses instead.

Without permission
Then this couple arrived
Claiming decadency from hell

Those were the years one could not argue.
They would shoot everyone.
Or come back and slit your throat.

This Jimmy insisted he owned the right.
To control their place
And little, tiny Candy

Had grown up evil and greedy.
They were not even theirs
But the law could do nothing.

Unless they could prove something
Poor Anne Marie
She was the youngest of three.

She wanted a life instead.
Of constant work
Parties were her style.

She caught the eye.
Of a very handsome guy
After the summer was over

And they returned to their places.
It turned out he was the Prince of Greece
Imagine her getting to know him.

Her sister was furious with her.
What were they to do.
They were poor church mice.

After the war had wiped out
Thier banks and vaults
Denmark was a strong country.

They could not tell the people.
Money was coming back in slowly.
She was entitled to be called a Princess.

So, they went to work on her.
Transforming her into a beauty
The Wedding brought in more than they bargained.

But the happy couple
Were from the same type.
And modern young ones with minds of their own

The hitch was that crown.
It was supposed to be the Egypt Tiara
They had a copy of it.

Just a copy
As the original was stolen
By Hitlers goons

It simply had to be worn.
So, on her head it went.
The beautiful girl full of grace

Made it through the wedding.
Off to the honeymoon
Which included a trip?

To California
Where they got to meet this quaint
Old lady who everyone spoke about

She was once rich herself.
But her family had lost everything.
In the fall of the Romanovs

Saint Petersburg became Leningrad.
Anything at all one was wearing.
Was all one had as one left the extraordinary city.

She had a beautiful place.
They said along the coast.
Where one could get some privacy

Just go along and ask her politely.
They were being wined and dined.
Someone made the introduction.

A sunny afternoon she meets her.
In her garden in a small town
Where they did experiments

Her Granddaughter's husband.
Was into those type of things.
As his father had worked on the Manhattan project

Yes, she did remember her mother.
Oh, that place had been taken over.
By a bunch of ruffians

Sometimes they could sneak into their own.
Property if the police were forewarned.
It just happened that the couple were gone.

And the coast was clear.
They could go down and enjoy themselves.
Then the rest of her family would come along

As they had not been there in awhile
She would send someone with them to tidy up.
Oh, that won't be necessary.

We can handle any inconvenience.
There is a resort next door.
Run by my own nephew.

If you have any problems
Be sure to take food with you.
We used to have ample supplies.

But those war years were fierce.
Don't worry a bit.
Do you mind if I freshen up?

As the groom was getting instructions.
She went into the room she knew.
Would have a locked cupboard.

She took her crown out.
Of her purse where she had been sitting on it.
Shoving it down amongst the precious

Old silk stockings and other things
Where she was sure the sweet lady
Would not notice it.

Then she locked the drawer
With the key and put it in her purse
Her husband and her drove away.

In a pleasant neighborhood
On a pleasant day
In a pleasant world.

A rat snuck into the room.
As quickly as she could
Candace unlocked the old thing.

Looked around for anything.
Found what was amazing.
Then she relocated it to another

Locked cabinet in the small room.
Slipping out before anyone noticed
There was that girl named Jack.

She was the last daughter.
Of a navy guy and a girl from Seattle
Who had gotten married?

But had nothing but love.
And a lot of children.
She wanted to convert the old lady.

To her own religion
She would spend hours.
With a bible reading it to her

She was so tired of asking.
For help only to be told to call the police
She thought the girl too innocent.

While she was reading the bible
Her fiancé was busy unlocking.
Things in all small room

An all clear sounded
And she went to freshen up.
Stopping to investigate

The cupboards and dressers
He kept trying to get hired as a handy man.
Down by that place

They still had horses and other things.
The young ones were willing to work.
She had no intention of giving away.

A perfectly good piece of land
To shysters with no honesty
His wife found the thin crown.

And worked it into her bra.
She made an attempt to just go to their car.
But had to sit for lemonade.

Were you a princess?
She asked suddenly.
The wise old lady nodded yes.

Yes, she was on her way to get her crown.
In Heavan where she would sit with the others
Kings and Queens

So that did make her a princess in waiting.
Frustrated she walked off before they were done.
The husband made a comment.

When he got to the car
About her tips showing
But she was pulling her prize.

Out and then placed it on her head.
Where it was on full display
As they drove through town

Some young men don't know not to let.
Themselves in for a life of misery
She could not be persuaded to return it.

Nor admit it and all were sworn to secrecy.
Just as Aiken and his costly garment
The entire circuit was in the habit of hiding.

What they knew from the family who fell
Into ill means
After a weekend the couple had returned

Finding the place to far out
Falling apart from poor management
The family was eager to go and repair it once more.

Know that the varmints were gone.
But upon her return from the toilet
A quite bad thing occurred.

She froze them out forever.
Her tiara was missing.
And she could not tell them.

She had told her husband.
But it was not a thing they could admit.
As security should have been higher

They wanted some free time.
She had left the tiara behind.
In order not to get robbed

Those kinds of places
Always had thieves.
There sat the sweet old lady.

Who they guessed could not.
Keep herself from handling.
The thing herself

They say she gave up a life.
Of luxury for the Wild West show
Too bad she was so old.

Or they would have prosecuted.
As it was the daughter
Almost went to prison.

There were some bad moments.
For her not knowing what it was
That had caused the fuss.

In fact, it would be years.
Before the granddaughter
Would find out that her grandfather.

Had removed something form the house.
He had seen the little girl lurking.
Swooped in and discovered.

An expensive piece of hard wear
He took it to his shed where he made a replica.
Exchanged it for the real thing.

He later made a special trip.
To hand it over to the king himself
He had fought during the war.

In that area and was not unknown
The King thanked him for it.
Died shortly afterwards.

His son became the king.
Who had to have a replica?
Himself made for his wife to wear.

Who would have thought?
She would become Queen of Greece?
Then civil war occurred.

They lost their country.
They lost their thrones.
They almost lost their lives.

In Exile they could not go back
To that place where they had accused
The family of thievery

Instead, the Queen of England
Whose husband was related.
Too them in as Alien residents

Where they stayed until another
Upheaval occurred and they are finally.
Allowed to return to Greece.

As private citizens
But without the glory
The old lady had died suddenly.

Her daughter had lost nearly everything.
Her daughter went mad.
While the little granddaughter

Grew up wondering what had occurred.
There were strange things in the world.
She was not naive nor foolish.

It had not been for those who.
Exist only to frustrate others.
She might have prevented a tragedy or two.

Instead, the King of Greece
Is now laid to rest in a private place.
The Queen of England and her husband

Have also gone to their reward.
While the others have had too much fun
With the lives of others

The mad crazy mother finally passed away.
Having lost both her husband and father
To the terrible game

Old man Jack died.
Keeping the secret of his daughter
While the Wheelers never would confess

Of what they had stolen
Just because it was theirs to take.
After all, when Armagedón

Strikes it will all be. up for grabs.
There was of course.
A minor breaking at their ranch

Now rich themselves
With no want of food nor luxury
But the got away with a priceless work of art.

Actually, it is just cheap junk.
Held all those years as precious.
To an envious bunch of bitches

Who still have no idea?
That their day has come
While the innocent still wonders.

What happened to their own world.
Somewhere is a junior advisor now old.
Who must have forgotten to hand over?

The Tiara to the young man
Whereupon the original
Is still hidden in an unknown vault.

Where the original Nazi thief
Put it all those years ago.
One Young girl whose prize

Was stolen although not real.
By a rotten thief who thought
She had the real item.

Only to be robbed herself
Of a replica while the rest
Is history as few of the originals?

Are left to sort out the details.
Except a lifetime of lies
From an entire community of Christians

Who only want to be the ones?
To receive the Crown and Sword
Of a Heaven reward.
